Child sexual abuse survivor and co-founder of Your Reference Ain’t Relevant’ campaign, Harrison James, has given an update on the progress made in NSW in reviewing the use of good character references in child sexual abuse cases. 

James specifically mentioned the efforts of the Attorney General Michael Daley initiating a review into the use of good character references and the significance of Justice Peter McLennan, the Chair of the Sentencing Council, in pushing for reforms.
