Nationals MP blasts ‘Blackout Bowen’ over Labor’s hydrogen love amid nuclear rejection
Nationals MP Keith Pitt has taken aim at Chris Bowen over Labor’s continued rejection of nuclear energy, with him inferring Australians shouldn’t trust a man dubbed “Blackout Bowen”.
Nuclear energy has been a controversial subject in Australia for several decades, with waves of anti-nuclear campaigns since the 1970s. With the need to transition from coal to renewables, Pitt doesn’t understand why Labor refuses to give nuclear a fair go over hydrogen.
“It is the biggest Hail Mary you’ve ever seen with taxpayer dollars”, Pitt said of Labor’s preference for hydrogen over any potential nuclear move.
