Banking giant, Westpac, has let hundreds go despite making record profits over the last 6 months.

“22% surge in profit, $4 billion in 6 months, and they’ve sacked 750 people,” Chris said.

Julia Angrisano from the Finance Sector Union of Australia said these are just the start of the “savage job cuts”.

“Unfortunately, that won’t be the end of this carnage. We are expecting more jobs to go.”
