Former minister Angus Taylor says Morrison apology ‘completely unnecessary’
Former industry minister Angus Taylor says he isn’t looking for an apology from Scott Morrison after it was revealed he appointed himself joint minister.
The former prime minister secretly took joint control of five cabinet roles during the pandemic: treasury, health, finance, home affairs and resources.
Mr Morrison has faced calls for him to resign, including from colleague former home affairs minister Karen Andrews.
But former resources minister Angus Taylor told Deborah Knight he has no issue with the secret moves.
“My working relationship with him was very positive and there is no need for him to apologise to me.”
