EXCLUSIVE: Prisoner found with a gun and bullets in Wollongong cell
Ray Hadley has been sent exclusive visions of a prisoner being strip-searched for contraband.
Ray Hadley has exclusively revealed that correctional service officers in Wollongong have caught a prisoner allegedly smuggling dangerous contraband into his cell.
In exclusive security footage, the officers can be seen wrestling with the prisoner after they allegedly uncovered a gun, bullets, and drugs hidden in his underwear.
It comes amid revelations that the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission have made controversial changes to strip search practices and standard operating procedures.
Stewart Little, the General Secretary of the Public Service Association, told Ray “A lot of questions definitely need to be asked – I’m certainly going to put a few to Commissioner Corcoran…”
NSW Police have confirmed to Ray Hadley that the prisoner, a 25-year-old man, was arrested on Saturday for a string of offences and was denied bail by Wollongong Local Court on Monday.
He’ll face court again on Wednesday August 9, 2023.
