‘Getting Ugly’: Sam Burgess QUITS Bunnies amid Latrell, Demetriou drama
Leading NRL journalist Michael Chammas has lifted the lid on the ugly fallout from South Sydney after club great and assistant coach Sam Burgess walked out on Wednesday.
The 2014 grand final hero left Bunnies HQ this morning after reports surfaced that he and assistant coach John Morris were unhappy with head coach Jason Demetriou’s perceived double standards surrounding star duo Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker.
Chammas, who’s been covering the drama at length, shed light on this morning’s events along with the rumours impacting Demetriou and his star pair.
“A lot of the unrest at South Sydney revolves around a belief, that has been driven by Sam Burgess and assistant coach John Morris, that coach Jason Demetriou doesn’t hold Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker to account,” Chammas said.
